Properties of AmF/SnF2

  • Amine fluorides (AmF) are surfactant molecules that build films on all oral surfaces including teeth, tongue and the mucosa.
  • Stannous salts, such as SnF2 and SnCl2, dissociate in aqueous solutions into antibacterially active Sn(II) ions and F- or Cl- anions.
