Mode of action of AmF/SnF2
- Amine fluoride forms a complex with stannous fluoride. When the AmF/SnF2 complex reaches the oral cavity, the surface activity of amine fluoride ensures that it is rapidly distributed and transported to the target site.
- Amine fluorides transport the stannous ions to the odour-causing bacteria, e. g. between the papillae of the tongue.
